Sharon and Jessicalee, thank you for this lovely feedback. Third person allows a deeper exploration of the relationships between characters. View all 3 comments. Thank you very much!
I had no idea you were writing not being very internet savvy and when I saw the book by fluke on the shelf I grabbed it as soon as I wevenwaters afford it! It is a very long wait each year, please keep up the wonderful work, I look forward to becoming part of one of your worlds very soon….
Though he seems lovely and I can imagine a happy ending for them, I just wish that Clodagh had more gumption!! Juliet is the author of twenty historical fantasy novels for adults and young adults, as well as a book of short fiction.
Sevemwaters fact, she was nothing more than a girl who was more than marilljer of running a large household, not much more, as was noted more than once throughout the book. Sign up for her newsletter to be among the first to learn about her new projects or follow her on BookBub.
Quotes from Heir to Sevenwaters. At the same time her father is preparing to host a council of warring chieftains and dealing with the possibility that his son-in-law is plotting against the alliance.
I stayed up till am trying to finish Daughter of the Forest, and somehow convinced all my other friends heeir read it as well.
It makes me extremely happy to hear you say my work rekindled your love of reading! Would you like to tell us about a lower price? In the book, Sibeal travels to Inis Eala to stay for awhile because Ciaran thinks she needs to experience more of the world before making her final commitment to join the druids.
Clodagh is strong in a very different way than the daughters of Sevenwaters who came before her, but sh I’ve said it before, but each time I re-read a book of Sevenwaters it feels just like coming home for me. There’s a bit of love triangle with Clodagh and 2 of Johnny’s men, then some drama where nobody will listen to her or act rationallyand then she’s off to the Otherworld to bring her brother back. As always a fantastic book! Your talent is amazing, inspiring and captivating. All of her tales show immense strength of the hero’s and heroines, and this one is wonderful.
Then the family’s joy turns to despair when the baby is taken from his room and something What unique challenges jyliet this book pose for you, if any? I loved its glimpses of old friends and its hints of future possibilities.
We can tuck that information away in our minds and ruminate on the possibilities ourselves. Thank you for these lovely comments, Rochelle!
I think Wolfskin was my favourite. For example, through the story, it is clear that the gods as they perceived at that time were not necessarily human assistants, nor did they represent the way people functioned; instead, they were considered creatures outside human logic, so much higher than us that they could not perceive our psychology.
The other is dealing with criticism. When her seenwaters, only a mere seven years old, got cancer, we all visited her – and still do visit her – in the hospital and would help tell stories; stories of women strong enough One of my English teachers once told my class that instead of telling her daughter the fairy tales of Disney legend, the classic Snow White and Sleeping Beauty that had the gallant princes arriving to save the day, she’d always change the ending so that the princess saved herself or, better yet, saved the prince too.
The fact that the world of my books is the real world, though in a slightly fantastic version, makes it easier to keep things realistic. Trouble is brewing among the local nobility, sevenwters Clodagh struggles to make sense of some mysterious warnings she receives. Because her mother is pregnant and her twin sister will marry soon, Clodagh finds herself in taking care of the house in stead of her mother.
Heeir taking charge of the household in her mother’s place, Clodagh discovers more and more about the two young guardsmen—and it turns out that neither one is as he seems.

But you also show how these romantic couples get separated by death eventually: Overall, this is still a very good book, and I would recommend it to fantasy fans. I love the way traditional stories get right to the heart of matters and are unafraid to show big themes: We’re featuring millions of their reader ratings on our book pages to help you find your new favourite book. All the subsequent siblings were sorely lacking in comparison. Your writings have made me fall in love with reading all over again.
No matter how many times I reread them, they still hold the same magic as the the first. I really hope some day you will be able to write that fourth Bridei book, although in the US it may not be appreciated as much as here in Germany.
But the family’s joy turns to despair when the baby is taken, and something unnatural is left in his place. Although Irish lore is mixed with all the books so far, in this book it is clutch in solving the riddles of the Underworld and to it’s current ruler, Mac Dara.

I could say a lot more about this book, but I won’t because it’s rather late and I’m at the point of collapsing from exhaustion, as I mentioned above. In spite of the above, I did enjoy the Heir to Sevenwates and significantly more than its two predecessors. People need not have read those earlier books to enjoy this one. While Sorcha, Liadan and Fainne are all extraordinary in their different ways, Clodagh is an ordinary woman whose great strength is her ability to recognise that even the most flawed individual is worthy of love.

I have this novel all planned out.
